Embedding YouTube Videos [What to know]

Many people have been having this problem when trying to embed videos to TheCoDZone

Firstly i'll mention we have 2 tags, 1 being youtube and the other being ytwide, youtube makes it so your video is in a small square box, ytwide makes it so it's widescreen and looks nicer

We reccomend you use ytwide unless you plan on embedding many videos on 1 page.

Here's how to use the tags:

Example URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9Jvba4N6as

You have that URL above, the bit that is red and bold is the bit you put inbetween the tag: ----> J9Jvba4N6as <------ this

So example

Code: Select all

[youtube]J9Jvba4N6as[/youtube]

Code: Select all

[ytwide]J9Jvba4N6as[/ytwide]

I hope this has cleared some things up and now you know how to do widescreen

I have one small problem on this and I thought to share it with you. I did this both ways for small and wide players but I always got some of the url to the video at the left side of the small player and on top of the wide screen.

Fixed it for you, you had URL [ youtube]ID[/ youtube]

That's why you didn't need URL before it.

okay so I would just copy and use the id not the whole url and put the tags like the places like your main post right I get it now;).
